Join leading London GP Dr Dan Brook for this two-part series exploring how to take control of your health.

From cardiovascular risk and metabolic health to preventative screening and prostate care, these sessions offer practical, evidence-based guidance to help you live well into midlife and beyond.

You’ll hear the latest on lifestyle medicine and medical innovations, including the role of new weight-loss medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro, and there will be plenty of time for Q&A. Dr Brook will be joined by guest specialists to provide expert insights on the most important health topics facing adults today.

This series is open to everyone, regardless of age, and offers a supportive and welcoming space to learn and ask questions.

Sessions can be booked all together, or individually. 

Session 1 (Monday 3 November) - Heart & Metabolism 

This session is about simple and practical ways to protect your health and lower the risk of conditions like heart disease and diabetes. Dr Dan will talk about how weight, exercise and nutrition play a key role in prevention and take a closer look at new options like weight loss injections. He will explore cardiovascular screening and the use of statins and other medication in reducing the risk of premature stroke & cardiac events.  We will also learn where supplements might (and might not) fit into a healthy routine. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to fine-tune your habits, this session will give you the tools and confidence to make lasting changes for better health.

Session 2 (Monday 24 November)Cancer Prevention, Health Screening, Vaccinations & Brain Health 

In the second part of this series, Dr Dan will explore Cancer prevention from  screening tests available in the NHS for Colorectal Cancer, to the future of Cancer screening using imaging and AI.  He will be joined by Mr. Gidon Ellis, a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Royal Free, to discuss prostate health, urinary symptoms & Prostate Cancer Screening. The session will also cover different types of prevention including reducing the risk of infection using vaccinations, to strategies that may lower the risk of neurodegenerative diseases. With clear, easy-to-follow information, this session will help you take proactive steps to protect your long-term health.
