One Jewish Boy was in the midst of a successful West End run when it had to close early. But not before getting rave reviews from the press. Now, you have the chance to see this powerful show from the comfort of your house, streamed through JW3 TV.

In this bittersweet, sophisticated and quick fire comedy from talented writer Stephen Laughton, One Jewish Boy is a love story set over a decade. Jesse, a nice Jewish boy from North London falls in love with Alex, a nice mixed-race girl from Peckham. The love between them is real, pure and absolute, but Jesse has never been able to shake off the vicious attack on Hampstead Heath which changed him forever, and now he’s paranoid and he's frightened and it's messing up his relationship with Alex, his job, his child and his life...

Navigating any relationship is difficult enough, what happens when you factor in politics and rising prejudices? Told out of chronology, the play ultimately asks - can the fear of hatred be worse than the hate itself...

One Jewish Boy is a new play by acclaimed playwright Stephen Laughton, whose work has been workshopped and performed at JW3 many times.

Directed by Sarah Meadows, starring Asha Reid and Robert Neumark Jones.

There is a pre-recorded Q&A with Stephen Laughton after the performance.
