Ukraine and its people have dominated the news for much of the year.

Join William as he traces the story from the early days of Kievan Rus to the Russian invasion of 2022, and explores the various countries that ruled Ukraine from The Middle Ages through to the 20th century. Over the decades, Ukraine has sought to break free of outside domination. In this course, William will also address questions of ethnicity, religion, culture, language and much more.

William Tyler MBE is a superb communicator. He is a freelance educator, lecturer, public speaker, writer and consultant with a main focus on History. He was the Principal of The City Lit, Britain’s largest college of adult education. William is a Freeman of the City of London. In 2009 he was awarded his MBE for services to education.
