Led by a student Soferet (scribe), this relaxed, hands-on workshop will give you the chance to learn about the traditional way to write our sacred texts. You'll learn how to write in the Beit Yosef script, a common Ashkenazi script, starting off with calligraphy marker pens and then writing with quill pens and oak gall ink. You'll also have the chance to ask any questions about the work and traditions of Jewish Scribal Art. No prior knowledge is necessary, but if you want to try your hand at writing you will need to be familiar with the Hebrew Aleph-Bet.
