With gentle humour, and a perceptive insight into the time when Britain began to be a multicultural society, Paul Morrison has created a film which will delight audiences of all ages.

Young David Wiseman is mad about cricket. However, he has all of the kit but none of the skill! When a Jamaican family move in next door and build a cricket net in the back garden, David is delighted. But this is 1960’s England, and when the neighbours start to make life difficult for the new arrivals, David’s Jewish family is caught in the middle, and he has to choose between fitting in and standing up for his new friends.

As the hostility intensifies on the street, the families grow closer but it’s all too good to last.
