A day in the calendar to remember the Jewish refugees was instituted by the Knesset in 2014. This year's commemoration will not have a specific theme, but will embrace ALL 11 countries from which Jews were forced to flee.
This year marks Harif 's 20th birthday. It will be an extra special occasion - not just to remember the million Jews who were driven from their ancient MENA communities, but to celebrate their rich heritage.
The evening will feature a compilation of testimonies by Ciara Shalome of the Instagram sensation TheMizrahistory. The band Eastern Beats will be demonstrating the rich musical culture of the ancient Jewish communities.
