For around 150 years in the medieval period, a remarkable political experiment took place in central Europe.

It was multi-cultural, multi-religious and came closer than any of its contemporaries to democracy, even establishing a system whereby its kings were elected!

In this course, Clive will explore the remarkable features of this country/conglomerate and the forces that finally led to its dissolution and collapse.
