A creative Rosh Hashanah craft workshop centred around renewal, second chances and self-expression.

Combining craft and art history, explore the use of Jewish symbols in art and culture before carving your own stamps to upcycle old clothes and accessories with fabric ink.

In this workshop, we will explore the festival of Rosh Hashanah and its themes of renewal and reflection. We'll look at the work of notable Jewish printmakers before designing and carving our own lino stamps, using them to transform old items into something new.

No experience is needed, but please bring clothes, bags, or other fabric items to print your designs onto.

The workshop will be led by Tal, an artist and art historian whose work focuses around themes of memory, memorials and storytelling. They work with painting and drawing, printmaking and photography. They studied History of Art at UCL and run workshops combining Jewish art history and cultural heritage with practical craft.
