About the Speakers
Eran Riklis is one of Israel’s most acclaimed filmmakers. His award-winning films were released worldwide to critical acclaim and commercial success and were presented in numerous film festivals including Berlin, Venice, Toronto, Telluride, Locarno, London, San Sebastian and many more. His films include Reading Lolita in Tehran (2025), The Syrian Bride, Lemon Tree, The Human Resources Manager, A Borrowed Identity, Zaytoun, Spider in the Web, Shelter, Playoff, Cup Final, Zohar, Vulcan Junction and more. He is a graduate of the National Film School, Beaconsfield, UK.
Jonny Persey is an experienced film producer and educator. He is Chair of MetFilm Studio, a boutique, vertically integrated film company, which produces, distributes and sells fiction and documentary films for cinema and television. Over a period of some thirty years, Jonny has produced or exec-produced over 30 feature films and television programmes as well as numerous short form projects. His credits reveal an eclectic mix of thought-provoking, inquisitive and entertaining titles, with numerous commercial successes, critical accolades, award wins and festival prizes. Meanwhile, as Director of MetFilm School, he is the proud custodian of the learning journey of over 17,000 graduates over the last two decades, and an unashamed show-off about their success in the industry.
