But a visit to Israel changed everything — overnight he made the life-altering decision to return alone, immigrate to Israel, and dedicate himself to service in the IDF. Choosing to rise above personal ambition, he enlisted as a lone soldier and found deep purpose serving in Unit Duvdevan. His dedication, courage, and bond with his team defined who he became — until October 7, 2023, when he fell defending the residents of Kibbutz Kfar Aza, shielding them with his own body.
