Join Rachel Kolsky on a walking tour of the East End, uncovering stories of Jewish and non-Jewish women alike who made a significant impact.
Marking International Women's Day, you will explore the backstreets of Whitechapel and Spitalfields, hearing stories like that of Alice Model and her maternity hospital, Miriam Moses and her youth work, the philanthropy of the Rothschild ladies, suffragette and local politician Minnie Lansbury, and local GP, Hannah Billig.
This tour is dedicated to Sophie Spielman, one of the Women of Worth profiled on the tour, who recently passed away shortly before her 101st birthday.
This tour will not depart from JW3; the meeting location will be provided upon booking.
