Join us for a heartwarming and creative workshop that’s perfect for the whole family.

On the Jewish holiday of Tisha B'Av, a day often associated with introspection and rebuilding, we invite you to transform and create with us through the beautiful art of visible mending and textile art. It's a wonderful way to honour what we have and make it even more special!

Instead of letting go of treasured items, let's celebrate the memories woven into them. Bring along any textile item your family would love to repair or renew. This could be a favourite piece of clothing with a little tear, a beloved stuffed animal, a special accessory, or even just colourful scraps of fabric and yarn that spark joy.

Under the friendly guidance of artist Miki Shaw, you'll discover fun and imaginative techniques like stitching, patching, appliqué, darning, and embroidery. Learn how to turn small imperfections into unique designs, making visible mends that tell a story, or crafting new keepsakes filled with love.

The idea is to transform something worn into something cherished, celebrating the spirit of repair and renewal together as a family.

NB: This event will take place on Tisha B'Av (a fast day), and the Café and Kasa Bar & Grill will be closed.

PJ Library supports families in their Jewish journeys by gifting a monthly Jewish book every month.
