Tracking events amongst the shifting sands of the Middle East over two decades, this course seeks to unravel and explain some of the moving alliances, and new leaderships happening across the region. Placing everything into a wider global context of international engagements and distractions this course looks at 20 years of Middle Eastern history to help to understand some of the key political events of the world today.  

Paula Kitching is an historian and writer. Paula is a regular contributor to the Historian magazine of the Historical Association, and has written articles for commemorative publications for the Royal British Legion and the MOD.
