We are delighted to welcome back journalists Jonathan Harounoff and David Patrikarakos for a timely and in-depth conversation exploring what is really happening inside Iran, and how events there intersect with Israel, the region and the wider world. They will be joined in conversation by Efrat Sopher.

Jonathan Harounoff is a British-Iranian journalist who now serves as Israel’s International Spokesperson to the United Nations. His book Unveiled: Inside Iran’s #WomenLifeFreedom Revolt examines the profound gulf between the brutal Islamic Republic and the resilient Iranian people, who for more than 46 years have repeatedly risen up in pursuit of freedom and peace.

David Patrikarakos is an internationally recognised journalist and author who has written for leading publications in the UK and United States. His book War in 140 Characters: How Social Media Is Reshaping Conflict in the 21st Century was published to international acclaim and is taught at Sandhurst, West Point and NATO, and used by the UK Ministry of Defence.

In February 2022, The Wall Street Journal named it one of “7 books to read to understand why Russia wants Ukraine.” He is also the author of Nuclear Iran: The Birth of an Atomic State and the host of the Daily Mail’s Apocalypse Now podcast. David has lectured widely at universities and think tanks including Harvard, Yale, Oxford and Cambridge, and appears regularly on television and radio.

Together, the speakers will unpack Iran’s internal dynamics, its regional ambitions, and what the current moment means for Israel, Iran and global security.
