Looking for a fun and meaningful way to spend half-term with the whole family? Come and volunteer with us as we cook up a storm for our foodbank.
We will be making simple, affordable meals using a small number of familiar spices packed with flavour. Together we’ll prepare a variety of interesting dishes showing how the same spices can be used in both savoury and sweet food.
On the Menu
- Lentil Dal
- Curried Potatoes
- Spiced Carrot & Apple Slaw
- Cardamom & Apple Tray Bake
This activity is perfect for children and teens ages 8-16, however they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There are three sessions throughout the day to choose from, and a £10 fee per person (including parents & guardians) to help us cover the cost of ingredients.
All food prepared will be shared with our foodbank recipients and neighbouring homeless shelters.
Session Times
- 10.30am – 12noon
- 12.30pm – 2pm
- 3pm - 5pm
As foodbank demand continues to rise, we are also very grateful for donations of non-perishable, vegetarian-friendly items.
