Between 1940 and 1941, 13 British-born adults with disabilities were among the thousands murdered under Nazi Germany’s Aktion T4 programme, a history that has remained largely hidden until now.
Join Helen Atherton (University of Leeds), Simon Jarrett (Birkbeck, Open University), and theatre director Stephen Unwin, former Chair of “KIDS”, a national charity supporting disabled young people and their families, as they bring these stories to light and honour the lives of the victims.
The panel will also reflect on disability today, highlighting resilience, visibility, and inclusion, while remembering the past.
