Our Comedy Club is back, showcasing the best in Jewish Comedy!
We’re bringing you Jewish and Jew-ish comics, from rising stars to names you'll recognise, and not just from sitting next to them at your niece's Bat Mitzvah! Be aware, you might hear one or two words that your Bubbe only said in Yiddish, hoping you wouldn't understand...
Featuring Meryl O'Rourke, Aaron Simmonds, Mike Capozzola and Alex Mandel-Dallal, compered by the wonderful Rachel Creeger.
Meryl O'Rourke
Acclaimed stand-up comic and TV writer Meryl O'Rourke revels in her bitterness. She has delighted comedy audiences, written some of the best gags on telly and even hosted pop concerts (last one to 12,000 people!) She was the first winner of the Betty and Peter/Big Talk/LOCO writing prize, where she was gifted a chunk of money to help her write her first sitcom. She was chosen to be a Young Vic Neighbourhood Voice 2022 where she began work on her first play, Thrown By Giants, which was part of the Tsitsit Fringe. A sought after gag writer, Meryl has written for Dress To Impress, Have I Got News for You, Room 101, and 3 series of Mock the Week.
"Her devastatingly direct show stands out for it’s bold, boundary-breaking nature…the shocking casualness of her delivery is spot on.” Jewish Chronicle
Aaron Simmonds
Aaron Simmonds has been failing to stand up for 30 years; luckily he is far better at comedy than standing up. He has a unique perspective on life, usually of people's belly buttons, which gives him stories to tell, and a sore neck. "A comedian going places"* Simmonds’s comedic style is story-based, with clever one-liners interspersed throughout. He offers sharply-observed comedy which is grounded in his disability, but is by no means limited by it. As seen on QI (BBC1), The Russell Howard Hour (Sky Max), Guessable, Undeniable (Comedy Central), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV), BBC At The Edinburgh Festivals (BBC2). *Places that are wheelchair accessible

Alex Mandel-Dallal
Alex, a born-and-bred Londoner, is a high-energy, observational and occasionally musical comedian with an uplifting edge. She was a semi-finalist for the 2025 Funny Women Stage Award and 2024 Leicester Square New Comedian Quarter finalist. She has performed all over the UK, with successful limited runs at Edinburgh Fringe ‘2022-’2025, Vault Festival and Riverside Studios, telling wildly honest tales about her personal life. She now resides in London, spreading the gospel of silliness.
