Inside the iconic Brill Building, located at 1619 Broadway in New York City, a remarkable group of mostly Jewish tunesmiths crafted the soundtrack to the 1960s.
From Carole King and Gerry Goffin (Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow) to Burt Bacharach and Hal David (Close To You), from Leiber & Stoller (Love Potion No. 9) to Neil Sedaka (Oh! Carol), and Cynthia Weil & Barry Mann (You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’), these legendary songwriters shaped a new era of pop music with greater melodical sophistication, building on the established work and style of the ‘Tin Pan Alley’ songwriters.
The evening will be a celebration of the music that defined a generation, featuring a West End cast including Debbie Chazen (Murder on the Orient Express, Cinderella and the Matzo Ball), Brady Isaacs Pearce (Cable Street), Michali Dantes (Jesus Christ Superstar) and more.
Lovingly conceived by producer Neil Marcus and director Adam Lenson (Cable Street, Southwark Playhouse), with musical direction by Theo Jamieson (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie).
