Dyer is largely reclusive, spending most of his time in his writing studio, disconnected from his family, and communicating with fans through emails that are secretly ghostwritten by his agent. When Dyer summons his estranged older sons, Richard (Johnny Flynn) and Jamie (George MacKay), to his country manor, he reveals a startling secret involving their teenage half-brother Andy. This gathering forces the family to confront long-standing tensions, misunderstandings, and the consequences of Dyer’s neglectful behavior .
