We get it – this summer hasn’t quite panned out the way we might have hoped it would.
But as social distancing regulations relax and the sun makes its long-awaited return, there are so many things to look forward to in London this summer.
And even better – London is awash with free activities for your kids this summer break.

1. Hampstead Beach at JW3■
Looking for a taste of holiday without travelling abroad? Hampstead Beach at JW3 has everything you need – a taste of Tel Aviv right in the heart of NW3. With sand and a pool for the kids to play in, deck chairs and a bustling café, the beach is open to visitors throughout July and August and is completely free. Yup, that’s right. Hours of fun right on your doorstep.
2. Activities on the Beach ■
Sure, the beach is fab. And if that wasn’t enough, we’re running free activities daily on it for kids of different ages. Arts, crafts, games, and fun to keep the little ones busy whilst you grab some downtime in the sun. We won’t judge, we promise.
3. Cinema■
That’s right – cinemas are back, and in a big way. With the summer on the horizon, cinemas are packing in family films and there’s so much to see. Why not pair a trip to the beach for the younger ones with a trip to JW3’s boutique cinema for the older kids?
4. Camps■
OK, this one is a little more expensive. But if you’re really looking for fun and sporty activities to keep your kids occupied this summer, then you can’t go wrong with Rising Stars Camps at JW3. Packed full with sports, art & crafts, drama, indoor games, musical games and specialist activities, this camp will keep your kids active and entertained 5 days a week.
5. Crafternoons■
An oldie but a goodie. For many years now, JW3 has been running free kids arts and crafts sessions on a Sunday afternoon. We’re delighted that this summer they return every Sunday, come rain or shine. So if the worst happens and the weather breaks, and you’re looking for something to do on a rainy Sunday afternoon with your kids, then look no further. Come and enjoy free guided craft sessions with the kids, and even treat yourself to a cheeky hot chocolate.
