Join us for the launch of our new Books & Bagels reading circle.

Led by Naomi Grant, we will meet once a month to explore, discuss and debate a range of fiction and non-fiction texts of your choice. Accompanied by delicious free bagels, everyone is welcome!

The circle will begin with a taster session on the 2025 Booker Prize winner, Flesh by David Szalay – a novel praised for its singular vision and spare yet direct prose.

It’s the perfect choice to kick off our reading circle, and we can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks.

Here’s what to do next:

- Get your copy: Please aim to have your copy of Flesh before our first discussion. You can order it online or visit your local bookshop.

- Mark the date: Our first session will be held on Thursday 4th December, 1.15-2.15pm. Naomi will spend the meeting chatting about initial impressions, themes and what drew us in (or didn’t!).

- Read at your pace: Feel free to read ahead, dip in and out, or go through it steadily.

- Invite a friend: If you know someone who enjoys reading and lively discussion, please let them know about our group and this upcoming circle.

We’re very excited to start this new chapter – great books, good company, and plenty of bagels.
