Join us for a compelling conversation on Austria’s reckoning with its Holocaust legacy.

Conny Kerman, a family psychotherapist with a special interest in the effects of third-generation trauma, will share her insights from working within the North London Jewish community, as well as her own personal experience as a non-Jewish Austrian navigating Austria’s complex relationship with its past.

From the shadows of complicity to the embrace of responsibility, Conny’s story offers a powerful reflection on collective memory and healing.

She will be joined by JW3's Simon Graf, a young Austrian volunteer from “Gedenkdienst”, an organisation that sends volunteers to Jewish organisations worldwide as an act of remembrance and reconciliation.

Together, they will explore how Austrians today, three and four generations on from the Holocaust, are confronting history and fostering dialogue.

This event is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how a nation’s past shapes its present — and how individuals can contribute to a more responsible and respectful future.
