All of us at JW3 are shocked and saddened by the tragic events that have been taking place in Israel and Gaza since October 7.

We stand in solidarity with our global Jewish family and we share in the pain of all those who have been injured and the families of those bereaved. We pray for the swift and safe return of all hostages, and the safety of all civilians still under attack.

JW3 remains open to all, every week,  from Sunday to Thursday, for all those who need a safe community space that feels like home. We are here to lift spirits, engage minds, encourage conversations and strengthen community.

The safety, security and well-being of our visitors, members, volunteers and staff is our priority. We have further enhanced our security since October 7, and work closely with our security partners SQR, the CST, the Metropolitan Police, and other agencies to ensure that all JW3 programmes and activities are able to continue.

We continue to add new programmes, talks, briefings and events as we respond to the ever-changing situation. We also invite all visitors to contribute to the Book of Messages that is in our main Reception area.

Awful as the situation is, Mr Simonson holds on to some hope. “We don’t want people to use this as an opportunity to drive a wedge between us,” he said of his Muslim friends and colleagues. “We mourn and grieve the loss of our families but our hearts are breaking for the loss of Palestinian civilian lives.
