An evening of of swinging jazz, blues, gospel and bebop

Café Society Swing follows the legendary New York venue’s thrilling struggles and triumphs, to its eventual demise in America’s ‘Red Scare’ of the late 1940s.

Created by the child of Latvian Jewish immigrants, from 1938 to 1949 Café Society played host to some of the finest talents of the 20th century, including Billie Holiday, Lena Horne, Sarah Vaughan and Count Basie. The show stars Vimala Rowe and Ciyo Brown and features some of the UK’s finest jazz musicians, directed by show author and MD Alex Webb.
