Letters From Brno, an award-winning documentary, tells a powerful personal story of parental love and sacrifice during the Holocaust.

In a 45-year search for clues to her mother's past, Karen Kruger uncovers the tragic fate of her grandparents from the eyewitness accounts of their letters written during the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia.

The screening of the film will be followed by a Q&A with the producer-writer Karen Kruger; Kindertransport historian and author Mike Levy; and Dr Bea Lewkowicz director of AJR’s Refugee Voices archive. The panel will be moderated by Danny Kalman, chair of AJR’s Kindertransport special interest group.

This event is held in partnership with The Association of Jewish Refugees and is part of the commemorations of the 85th anniversary of the Kindertransport, the rescue of 10,000 mainly Jewish children from Nazi-occupied Europe.
