We are delighted to welcome acclaimed historian Marc David Baer for the launch of his latest book, Children of Abraham. 

From the prophet Muhammad's first interactions with Jewish Arabs in the seventh century to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, this timely and urgent new book presents a nuanced analysis of Muslim-Jewish relations.

Spanning 1400 years of history, Bauer gives a balanced view of the extensive conflict and cooperation between these two communities, whose relations will continue to shape global politics for decades to come.

Marc David Baer (PhD, History, University of Chicago, 2001) is Professor of International History at the London School of Economics and Political Science. His books have won the Albert Hourani Prize (2008) and the Dr. Sona Aronian Book Prize for Excellence in Armenian Studies (2020), and shortlisted for the Wolfson History Prize (2022).
