Peggy Guggenheim (1898–1979) was one of the most influential gallerists and patrons of modern art.

To coincide with the exhibition Peggy Guggenheim in London at the Royal Academy of Arts (21 November 2026–14 March 2027), this talk will retrace Guggenheim’s remarkable journey from London and Paris to New York and Venice.

It will explore how she forged vital links between European modernism and the emerging American art scene, challenged the establishment and became a pivotal figure in the history of twentieth-century collecting.
