JW3 in partnership with Harif is hosting the official UK Commemoration of the Departure and Exodus of Jews from Arab countries and Iran, in the presence of communal leaders and diplomats. 

This year our theme will be : Jews of Egypt: 70 years since Suez . The evening will feature testimonies of Jews who resettled in Britain following the expulsion.

Guy Schalom and his band will transport us back to the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the 1950s with music popular throughout the Middle East.

Visitors to JW3 are invited to browse the spectacular Harif exhibition at the entrance. It celebrates Sephardi culture in London and explains the Henna ceremony widely practised by Jews from Arab countries to bestow blessings of happiness and fertility on a forthcoming marriage.
