Family Cooking Day: Festive Vegetarian Feast

Thu 24 Dec Multiple times
Thu 24 Dec

Looking for a fun and meaningful way to spend the winter holidays with the whole family? Come and volunteer with us as we cook up a storm for our Foodbank with lead chef Dana Leev.

Christmas is a time where people need our Foodbank the most.

Menu:
Layered sliced roast potatoes with garlic, rosemary & herbs
Red cabbage & apple honey salad
Stuffed butternut squash with mushroom, herb & breadcrumb filling
Roast cauliflower with tahini, pomegranate & fresh herbs
Festive pavlova with whipped cream, raspberry & blackberry coulis, and fresh berries

Meals will go to our Foodbank recipients and Conway House Hostel.

There will be three hands-on cooking sessions throughout the day. It's £10 per person to cover ingredient costs. This activity is perfect for children aged 8 and up (must be accompanied by a parent or guardian).

As Foodbank demand continues to rise, we also welcome donations of non-perishable, vegetarian-friendly items if you'd like to support our Foodbank further.

Cooking sessions: 10.30am–12noon, 12.30–2pm, 3–5pm.
