Kiryl Kalbasnikau
Actor and Poet
Kiryl Kalbasnikau is a Belarusian theatre maker, performer and poet based in London. His work spans acting, assistant directing, stage and production management, technical theatre and digital scenography.
He trained at Belarus Free Theatre’s Fortinbras Studio and worked with the company from 2016 to 2023, performing across Europe and in Australia. His acting credits include Dogs of Europe, Counting Sheep and The Master Had a Talking Sparrow, alongside stage management for King Stakh’s Wild Hunt. His wider creative and technical work includes projects with Stone Nest, JW3 and Lightroom. He is also developing Maxim Dosko’s anti-war play Insula as a performer and producer, collaborating with theatre director Vladimir Scherban.
