Paula will explore how the region developed during this period, the rise of the Arab nationalism and the divisions and territorial ambitions. Placing everything into a wider global context of international engagements and distractions this course looks at 20 years of Middle Eastern history to help to understand some of the key political events of the world today.
Paula Kitching is an historian and writer. She is a regular contributor to the Historian magazine of the Historical Association and has written articles for commemorative publications for the Royal British Legion and the MOD.
