Sewing red patches on children’s clothes? Avoiding stepping over someone sitting on the floor? Dipping in the mikveh after a bride?

Rabba Dr Lindsey Taylor-Guthartz studied at Cambridge, the Hebrew University, and University College London. Her first book, Challenge and Conformity: The Religious Lives of Orthodox Jewish Women, was recently published by the Littman Library of Jewish Civilization.
