We're excited to announce the return of the brilliant October Camp 2019. Infinite Jest return to JW3 this October half term after their fabulous summer camps. In this three day film course, the children will write, shoot and screen their own short film. They'll be involved in casting, costume and set design, marketing, filming and acting. The course culminates in the first ever Infinite Jest/JW3 film festival and an award ceremony in front of friends and family.

Being Second Generation

More than 70 years after the Holocaust, children of survivors and refugees will explore together how it has affected their lives. The workshop will be led by Gaby Glassman, a psychologist and psychotherapist who has facilitated second generation and intergenerational groups in the UK and abroad since the 1980s. This session is specifically for the Second Generation and involves personal participation. Second Generation are children of survivors and refugees from Nazi-persecution.

Mitzvah Day: Gift wrapathon

Camp Simcha exists to improve the quality of life for Jewish families affected by serious childhood illness. Their mission is to ensure that no such child, anywhere in the UK has to suffer alone. On Mitzvah Day they will be hosting a gift collection and wrapathon, crafting gift bags from old newspapers and then making an activity card to go in the bag to be given along with the toys that we collect. David Cameron was born in 1966 and attended Eton College and Oxford University. He became the Member of Parliament for Witney in Oxfordshire in 2001. Four years later he was elected leader of the Conservative Party where he implemented a programme of modernisation. Last Stop Coney Island: The Life and Photography of Harold Feinstein

Harold Feinstein started taking pictures in his teens, exhibited at MoMA before he turned 20 and was an integral part of the mid-century New York School of Photography alongside Diane Arbus and Garry Winogrand. But his decision to isolate himself later in life meant his work was gradually forgotten. It was only earlier this decade that the then relatively unknown artist, who died in 2015, was rediscovered.
