JW3 Salon: The Conversation

The Conversation. The Talmud teaches us: ‘friendship or death,’ something is lost when one is not connected. From Mike Leigh's film making process, to Tino Seghal's performative works at the Tate, conversation has always been part of artistic practice. But what happens when it is lost? JW3 invites artists to this Salon to discuss the idea of conversation. How can discourse and argument be part of an artistic practice, and what is involved when art is produced as a collaborative act. We will explore what role The Salon plays in building a creative thinking space, and how can artists from radically different disciplines come together. For all practicing artists from visual arts, dance, theatre, music, live art, and film.
