Yerus Goes to Jerusalem is the story of a girl called Yerus, who immigrated (made "Aliyah") with her family from Ethiopia to Israel. It is also the story of so many other Jewish-Ethiopian children and families, now living in Israel. Author, Bat-Ami Melnik wrote the book following interviews and being inspired by testimonies of Ethiopian Jews now living in Israel, who told their stories, which depict determination, hardship and bravery, and above all – of a community's ancient dream come true. She will be joined by Gilad Perry the producer of the English version who serves as an educator for Ethiopian youth on the Dror Israel movement.
