Ute Lemper

Songs for Eternity

Arts & Culture

We present a very special evening with legendary singer, Ute Lemper, who performs songs written in ghettos and concentration camps. Songs, most of them in Yiddish, written in the depths of unspeakable ferocity and brutality. Songs of rebellion and hope, songs that celebrate life and love songs that mirror the unspeakable horrors of the Holocaust.

Ute Lemper is an international singer, actor and dancer, best known for her interpretation of the work of Kurt Weill. Her diverse credits include a recreation of the Marlene Dietrich-character Lola in The Blue Angel, the original European Sally Bowles in a Paris production of Cabaret, Velma Kelly in Chicago and the voice of Ariel in Disney’s Little Mermaid for the German-language version.
