A Stranger At the Door

With Lydia Bauman

Classes & Courses

At a time when so many problems afflicting our world are the result of our distrust and fear of strangers, Lydia takes a timely look at representations of the Other in art history. Stories of angels, heretics and foreigners, from tragic to humourous, make us look at the problems of prejudice, racism and small mindedness. Lydia Bauman is a Polish born artist & art historian.

Educated at the Univ of Newcastle and the Courtauld Institute, Lydia is a passionate educator with a wide experience of teaching at the Tate, National Portrait and National Galleries. Her forthcoming book is ‘Great Themes in Art’. Lydia’s presents clearly, jargon-free, well informed and entertainingly.
