Italian filmmaker Lina Wertmuller, the first woman ever nominated for the Best Director Oscar, turns 90 in August. To celebrate, JW3 presents a very rare screening of Seven Beauties (1975), her controversial masterpiece about an Italian criminal determined to survive the Holocaust. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with JW3 film programmer Alex Davidson, visual artist and Jewish educator Jacqueline Nicholls and film expert and lecturer Dr Julia Wagner.
