Selichot

Arts & Culture

In the weeks leading up to Yom Kippur, Jews around the world gather to knock on the gates of heaven.

Selichot are special prayers sung to prepare the heart, mind and soul for repentance. Rabbi Joseph Dweck will speak about and perform these moving and poetic prayers, explore their place in Sephardi culture, and his own personal relationship with them.

Rabbi Dweck will be accompanied by the musician Keith Clouston (Rivers of Babylon, Natacha Atlas and Transglobal Underground).
