Parent and Baby Fest: When Nanny is Nana

Families & Youth

With both parents now working in many families, and childcare often so expensive, grandparents are increasingly playing an important role in regularly looking after grandchildren.
Join us for an open, honest discussion on the role of grandparents in childcare- How do grandparents feel about it? How can this work best for families and what can be tricky?  How does this work in practice? .  JW3 Director of Programming Rachel Grunwald and her mother Alison will share their experience and open the discussion to audience members.

This is part of Parent and Baby Fest - a day full of free activities for new parents and parents of toddlers in partnership with Riverside Cares. We'll be exploring the adage 'it takes a village to raise a child', with sessions looking at the role of dads, grandparents and nurseries and a fun packed activity programme including puppet shows, family portraits and playtime on the beach.
