Nietzsche and Soloveitchik

on Morality, Life-Affirmation and Suffering, with Rabbi Dr Michael Harris

Classes & Courses

This four-part series looks in detail at the views of the famous atheist philosopher and the celebrated exponent of Modern Orthodox Judaism on morality, life-affirmation and suffering. Despite their fundamentally contrasting starting-points, the positions of these thinkers on the intrinsically fascinating and important issues covered in the series are very stimulating  to consider in light of each other and reveal striking parallels. The series assumes no prior knowledge of the thought of either Nietzsche or Soloveitchik and aims to leave participants with insights into both.
