Mitzvah Day: PJ Library

Families & Youth

Create pom-poms to be sewed into scarfs for homeless people

PJ Library gifts away high-quality Jewish books to families with children aged between six months and eight years old every month. The award-winning books celebrate Jewish culture, values and traditions through a wide range of stories and beautiful illustrations. On Mitzvah Day you are invited to create pom-poms, which will then get sewed into scarfs for the homeless by JW3’s Knitwits group.

Book reading sessions at 2:30 and 3:30.

The book being read is Mitzvah Pizza, synopsis here: Most weekends, Daddy brings the money and Missy brings the fun. But this time Missy is bringing the money, too -- and she’s trying to decide what to do with it! When they go to a pizzeria that helps feed everyone, including people who can’t pay, Missy makes a new friend -- and has an idea.
