How do we remember the past in contemporary society? In this illustrated talk and discussion, writer and curator Dr Richard Martin and Dr Jessica Rapson, Lecturer in Culture, Media and Creative Industries at King's College London, explore a range of approaches towards memorialising the past that have emerged in recent years. 

Particular attention will be paid to how the sites and events of the Holocaust have been remembered alongside broader artistic, architectural and social responses to historic landmarks and celebrity deaths.
