London's Famous Attractions

with Stephen Burstin

Walks & Trips

It’s a fascinating adventure – really two tours in one -  visiting many well known landmarks and iconic sites where Stephen Burstin not only relates their unique stories but also reveals a host of unknown and amazing Jewish anecdotes. Just some examples of the Jewish connections are: In sight of Buckingham Palace you will discover the surprising Jewish blood line which the Queen's grandson and heir to the throne, Prince William, is said to have married into when he wed Kate Middleton. Also, be introduced to Edward VII’s closest (and Jewish) confident.  Beside Westminster Abbey learn how this magnificent church was built …thanks only to leading Jewish figures.

In the shadow of the Supreme Court we will recall the tragic and cruel fate that befell 18 prominent members of the Jewish community, all on wicked false charges.   As we stand before 10 Downing Street you will hear about the little-known Jewish ancestry of our former Prime Minister David Cameron.  And at the magnificent Houses of Parliament, Stephen will relate Winston Churchill’s unrecognised crusade on behalf of the Jewish community and Zionism and the incident that dented his support. In the heart of cinema land, as you admire the statue of a London-born Hollywood screen star, learn of his secret wish to have been Jewish.

At Piccadilly Circus meet the famous 19th century Lord, a Christian Zionist, who called for a Jewish state in Palestine.  And at Trafalgar Square there’s the amazing story of two wealthy Jewish cousins who backed opposing sides in the Napoleonic wars. An award winning guide Stephen will show the sights and share the stories.

Details of the meeting point will be released the day before the walk.
