In the first of a series, join Patrick Bade in Paris to discover Pissarro at the Musée Marmottan Monet.

Born to a Sephardi family in the West Indies, Camille Pissarro arrived in Paris in 1855 to become a seminal figure in the Impressionist movement and mentor to the Post-Impressionists Seurat, Cézanne, Van Gogh and Gauguin. Without doubt the greatest Jewish painter of the 19th century, he was also a man of great warmth and humanity, universally respected by his fellow artists.

Numbers are strictly limited to 10 and allocated on a first come first served basis.

Price does not include travel, food or accommodation in Paris.

Itinerary:

11.20 am - Meet Patrick at the Gare du Nord from where he will take you to his flat (5 minutes walk) for refreshments and an introductory talk.

1.45 pm – free time for lunch, lunch not included

3.45pm - Visit to exhibition Pissarro at the Musée Marmottan, ticket for entry included, travel to exhibition included.
