Jewish ‘Hidden Heroes’ of the Royal Air Force

with Joshua Levine

Classes & Courses

Using a wealth of new stories drawn from the Archives of the Royal Air Force Museum, Joshua Levine will explore what it meant to be Jewish in wartime; examining the attitudes and experiences of those that fought for freedom wearing the RAF’s handsome blue-grey uniform. Joshua’s inspiring presentation embraces heroism, comradeship, glamour and success with some surprising revelations. Laurence ‘Benny’ Goodman will be appearing with Joshua and answering questions.  Benny is 98-years-old and flew Lancaster bombers with the 617 ‘Dambuster’ Squadron!
