Classes & Courses

“I didn’t mean to do it.”—“I can’t imagine what made him say that.”—“It’s so not like her, is it?”—“Whatever came over you?” Our behaviour has consequences, and also causes. Somewhere in between, there’s our disposition and discipline. But where do they come from? Do we really have free will? Are we completely responsible for our actions? These questions are at the back—or even front—of our minds, join us as we approach the High Holy Days, take stock of our lives and wrestle with our guilt. We’ll explore them in the light of traditional Jewish ideas about sin, forgiveness and change.
