I am Ruthie Segal, Hear Me Roar

UK – 10 mins.

Today is Ruthie Segal’s big batmitzvah. The fish balls are defrosted, the dress is ironed, and the guests are waiting… but Ruthie has a slightly different idea about what it means to become a woman. This short comedy celebrates chutzpah, passion and everyone’s secret obsession with shmaltzy musicals.

Large Soldier

Israel – 23 mins

It's 1973, war time in Israel, and all that 15 year old Sherry wants is a boyfriend. A letter exchange with an unknown soldier makes her believe that it's going to be her first love. But what will happen when the imaginary soldier becomes real?

Call Me Alvy

UK – 10 mins

Brian Silver – almost 13 – has been obsessed with Woody Allen ever since his older brother introduced him to Annie Hall. Does his mother (Tracy Ann Oberman) have a reason to worry, or is it just a phase?
