Hallelujah: A Celebration of Leonard Cohen

Part of the Hampstead & Highgate Literary Festival

Arts & Culture

Join us for a tribute to one of Hampstead’s most famous one-time residents, novelist, poet and one of the greatest songwriters to ever grace the planet, Leonard Cohen. Admitting to influences as wide ranging as Hebrew prayer and Federico Garcia Lorca, Cohen himself has, in turn, inspired generations of artists. Salman Rushdie once said of his work, “If I could write like that, I would.”

A stellar troupe of musicians - Kathryn Williams, Ed Harcourt, The Magic Numbers, Polly Paulusma, Sylvie Lewis and Ren Harvieu – join compere Kerry Shale, to offer their own spin on Cohen’s music and poetry.
