Part of Pocket-sized: stories, words and ideas in miniature
Audio Lounge | 11am | Free
Sit back, put on your headphones and relax into the aural pleasure that is listening to short stories aloud. Whether you're waiting for your next Pocket Sized event, browsing our pop-up bookstores or getting coffee & cake, join your fellow listeners with a short story by the likes of Amos Oz, Doris Lessing, Isaac Bashevis Singer, Etgar Keret, Deborah Eisenberg, Nathan Englander, Grace Paley, Jorge Luis Borges, Margaret Atwood and Italo Calvino. The Audio Lounge is free, so go to Box Office to pick up a pair of headphones to join in.
Etgar Keret is recording one of his new stories in Hebrew and English especially for the Audio Lounge.
Pocket-Sized is a day-long festival celebrating the short form in print, digital and audio formats with some of the most influential thinkers, writers and poets around. The building will be buzzing with talks, discussions, panels, film, a roaming audio lounge and a pop-up bookstore. Buy your ticket for an individual event or a day pass for entry to the whole festival.
